KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Regular Monitoring: Implement and maintain processes to conduct regular (weekly and monthly) progress and cost control activities across the project scope.
·Budget Oversight: Maintain rigorous control over the budget of resources, specifically tracking incurred costs, commitments, and actual expenditures against planned budgets for labor hours, materials, and other measurables.
· Ledger Management: Responsible for maintaining a detailed financial ledger that reconciles project costs with the general accounting system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial data for project decision-making.
·Progress Monitoring System: Update the progress monitoring system (e.g., Earned Value Management) by tracking physical work completed, correlating it with budgeted costs, and calculating performance indicators.
·Reporting: Prepare and issue regular cost reports, variance analyses, and forecasts to identify deviations from the baseline budget and flag potential financial risks.
· Project Controls Assistance: Directly assist the Head of Project Management and Controls in keeping track of progress and providing reliable, timely data necessary for management review and decision-making.
· Invoice Verification: Work with the Procurement and Finance departments to verify invoices and commitments are correctly allocated to the appropriate cost centers within the project structure.
· Self-Starter: The person will be a self-starter, capable of working independently to meet reporting deadlines and proactively seeking out necessary data from various project disciplines.
· Team Collaboration: Work effectively as an integral member of the Project Controls Department and the broader project team environment.
