Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintains district inventory for Plant supplies which includes ordering, receiving and allocating.
- Prepare and type annual requisitions, orders, reports, correspondence.
- Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
- Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock.
- Reports canceled and damaged items to the purchase department as appropriate.
- Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Identification, segregation and preservation of materials stored
- Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Segregation of waste for proper disposal
- Inform relevant personnel about the arrival of material and to arrange for inspection
- Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.
- Arrange to return non-conforming materials
- Issue material as per the requirements and maintain records
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
- The desired educational qualification is a diploma in a related field, with a preferred degree.
- The minimum required experience is 3 years in similar functions, with 6 years being preferable.
